The Illinois Association for Gifted Children (IAGC) is a not-for-profit corporation that was established in 1989 by a small group of educators who wanted to create a voice within Illinois to further the opportunities to better understand the educational and social/emotional needs of gifted individuals. To that end, gifted educators, parents of gifted children, and other individuals continue to support the IAGC mission and related goals.
Mission Statement The Illinois Association for Gifted Children is an organization of parents, educators, and others committed to the education and development of children with diverse gifts and talents. We educate, support, and influence those who touch the lives of children and focus our energies to meet the needs of children with gifts and talents in Illinois through: advocacy, standards, and networking.
